RVS in an Aircraft Engine

The effectiveness of RVS products was tested in an aircraft engine in the Czech Republic in September 2005.

Main test results

  • Metallic engine noise disappeared approximately 30 minutes after the RVS treatment.

  • The engine now starts without manual assistance or starting spray.

  • The engine no longer produces smoke during start-up.

  • Metallic noises from the gearbox became noticeably smoother within 16 hours after the treatment.

  • Oil temperature decreased by 10% during a 22-hour observation period.

  • A triboceramic layer is clearly visible in the contact area of the friction surfaces of the camshaft used in the engine.
